BMI Baby to stop all flights from September 9

London - From September 9 onward, the British-Spanish International Airlines Group (IAG) will discontinue BMI Baby. BMI Baby is a low-cost carrier and a subsidiary of British Midland International (BMI).

The company has lost about 100 million GBP in the past four years and had to face reality, according to Peter Simpson - interim managing director. IAG was looking for a buyer but did not manage to find one, forcing BMI Baby will cease existing. The airline already cancelled some of its flights and will abort all flights from September 9. The company apologizes to all customers affected and has guaranteed full refunds.

BMI Baby clients will receive an email with the communication, as well as the option of making a request for compensation. Passengers that booked package holidays have the best chance of being refunded.
